Meredith’s interest in the legal system began at an early age after watching a family member’s personal injury lawsuit play out in the courtroom. After law school, Meredith spent time in the personal injury and medical malpractice field before shifting her focus to advocating for clients in the area of Social Security law. Meredith has significant experience in representing claimants from the initial application through appellate courts. In 2017, Meredith drafted and argued Biestek v. Berryhill, 139 S. Ct. 1148 (2019) in the Sixth Circuit, before overseeing litigation in the United States Supreme Court. Meredith has also represented clients in the areas of ERISA, individual disability benefits, veterans affairs and vaccine injury litigation. She was the prior chair for the Social Security Chair of the Chicago Bar Association (2018-2019), Director at Large for NADR (2019-2021), and is a Super Lawyer and Leading Lawyer for 2024. Meredith is the editor of the textbook Social Security Disability Law by Tom Bush, 28th Revision.
