Born and raised in Arizona, Meghan completed her juris doctorate degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. While there, she was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta law and service fraternity, and competed in a national moot court competition. During her final two years in law school, Meghan worked as a court certified intern for the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office, assisting in the prosecution of felony and drug court cases.

Following graduation from law school, Meghan joined her husband, an officer in the United States Navy, in Nevada. She worked as an assistant district attorney for Churchill County in Nevada and later Ventura County in California. At the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office in California, Meghan prosecuted loan modification fraud for the Real Estate Fraud Division. After the birth of her daughter, Meghan worked as an independent contractor for two family law firms in Westlake Village, CA, before moving to Virginia.
